Regarding Fall Scheduling.....

Hello friends!  Hope you've had a wonderful summer!  I have a few important announcements to share today....

1) Unfortunately there was not enough interest in Back-to-School mini sessions for me to schedule a sign up.  If, however, you would like a mini session for Back-to-School, you may still schedule that privately with me, on an individual basis.  The price will be the regular price of $100 for the mini session.  For more info, please email with questions.  

2) This is the big one.  This Fall I have accepted a full time, long term job with the school district.  Some of you may know that I have also been a substitute teacher for the school district for the past few years.  However, starting the very first day of school next week, I will be employed as a full time/long term sub for the first part of the school year.  

What does this mean for you?  Well, first off, I am not...repeat NOT....ending my photography career.  I am, however, putting things on hold just for the Fall, until my schedule is back to 'normal', when I am back to subbing only part time, and am available for sessions more regularly.  I look for that to be sometime mid-October (ish), though I am not 100% sure exactly when due to circumstances beyond my control.  Therefore, I am not scheduling Fall sessions as of right now.  As the time draws closer when I can be sure of a date, I will provide updates and send out emails and communications to let you know where things stand and when you may start booking again. 

I know that many of you will need to turn elsewhere to ensure your family photos get done this Fall and I completely understand.  What I do hope is that a few of you will wait until I am more available later Fall.  I also hope that this does not mean I lose you as a client permanently.  I value and treasure each one of you more than you know.  

Now, for the good news!!!.....

3) I do still plan to do Pumpkin Patch minis in October!  I do not have a date for those as of yet, but if you'd like to be first on the list to know when sign ups are available, make sure you are on my email mailing list.  

4) And last but not least, because of the uniqueness of this situation, I plan to offer Fall Family minis for the first time ever!  I will schedule these in the very near future, for those of you that do need your family session done sooner rather than later.  I am super excited about this option because it allows me to still hopefully get to photograph a lot of you for your Fall pictures!  Again, if you are not already on my email list, be sure to get on it now to be the first to know of these.  They are sure to fill up quickly!  

Whew!  Thanks for reading this long update.  And thanks for hanging in there with me.  It is worth repeating - I value each and every single one of you and your families so much!  I treasure getting to photograph your growing families and it is the single most favorite part of my 'job'.

Fall Booking Information...

Fall booking is now officially open!  Please read below for more information and how to schedule...

Firstly, please remember, no session date/time is official until I have received the $50 retainer.  I know a lot of my clients I only see once a year and some of you may have possibly missed the pricing change I made the first of this year.  Please review pricing details here.  A family session is $200, with $50 of that being due as your retainer.  Newborns are $250.
Also, please note: I refuse to overbook myself this year as to not miss out on MY family during this special time of the year.  So if spots get full this Fall, they are full.  Pictures typically take about 2 weeks to be returned from the date of your session.  Please plan accordingly if you need Christmas cards and such.  There are no rush options due to poor planning.  However, images are now being returned via an online gallery which speeds up the return time (please still allow 2 weeks).  And with this new process you also get a mobile app with every session included free!  

Keep in mind, I will still be scheduling pumpkin patch mini sessions during October.  Mini sessions are normally $100, but with the special, pumpkin patch minis will be discounted to $75.  If time or opportunity allows, I always like to hope I can schedule the same kind of special for holiday sessions in December.  These sessions fill up very quickly.  The clients on my email list always get first notification of these events.  So if you'd like to be included on the email list, now is the time to let me know!

Its almost that time again!  Time to head back to school.  Time to soak in the last few weeks of summer!  And now is your chance to schedule a mini session to capture these moments!  I will have 'back to school' theme props or we can also do a family session too!  Whichever you prefer, but please be sure to note on your sign up if you want back to school theme or not so I can be prepared.  :)

Bluebonnet mini sessions

Short notice this year!  (sorry...)  But SAFE bluebonnets are sparse this year.  Everyone keeps saying how they see them all along the highways, but I am NOT comfortable holding mini sessions just off the highway.  My usual spots weren't sprouting the beautiful fields of bluebonnets this year.  But I've finally found a safer spot and will be holding mini sessions this week!  Below is the link to sign up and please email me right away after you sign up so I can send you detailed instructions and directions right away!  Thanks!

Also, a couple of things to note...with the new year come a few changes to keep improving on my business. To make things easier on you, your pictures will now be available to be delivered via an online gallery where you can download them directly! Translation: no more trying to arrange for pickup or delivery! As soon as your images are ready, they are ready for you to download. Also you will be able to share your pictures right away with family and friends from this gallery.

Soon, I will also be adding a link to purchase prints straight from your gallery if desired. Also, as 'advertised', there have been some price changes to my sessions, so therefore the mini session price (the price special) has also been adapted to reflect new prices. Please note these changes on the sign up form.

Important things to keep in mind:  I have very few weekend time slots available.  If you need a weekend day, do not hesitate!  If you are flexible and can schedule during the week, I am more likely to get you a date you want.

Also, the cutoff to get pictures back to you before Christmas will be Thanksgiving.  I know that seems early...but this year we have a family vacation planned the first week or so in December so I will be gone a big portion of the month early on!  Plan ahead and book early.  Please remember, your date is not secure until I receive the $30 retainer (which does go towards the final balance of your session).

To answer any other upcoming questions, ....yes, I will be doing Pumpkin patch mini sessions in mid October.  Those will be announced and posted separately.  I also hope to do a weekend of mini sessions for those just wanting those few photos for Christmas cards or gifts.  No guarantees on that happening just yet, but IF I can squeeze them in, they will be during the first part of November.

An announcement regarding Fall bookings....

Hey everyone!  I've got some blogging to catch up on (which will happen soon I promise!), but I wanted to make a couple of announcements....

1) I've had a few people interested in getting a deal on a mini session without waiting for Pumpkin Patch or Christmas minis.  So...  I will run another special on mini sessions in a few weeks before summer is out (early to mid August).  I will combine it where you can choose if you want "back to school" pictures (I do have some cute ideas there!) or if you'd prefer to just get a deal on some summer family shots or pics of the kiddos.  It will run as usual with a sign up and more details will be posted later.


2) I am now booking into August (and actually have a couple of spots still open in July).  Email me if you need to schedule an August (or July) session as spots are limited!  September through December scheduling will open up soon.  Please PLEASE take heed and schedule a Fall session ASAP.  This year things will work a little different in that I will not accept sessions after Thanksgiving with the promise of getting pictures returned before Christmas.  I will still schedule after Thanksgiving of course, but pictures are not guaranteed to be returned by a certain date unless you schedule your session prior to Thanksgiving.  Family always comes first for me and this year is especially important that I follow this 'rule' of mine.  September - November session times will fill up very quickly so please plan ahead and schedule!  I will post an update on here and on my Facebook page when my Fall schedule is open to scheduling.  A reminder - no session is confirmed until a retainer is received.


3) I am in the process of working on an email mailing list.  This list will not be used for spam or any of the like but will be used to notify of upcoming deals, specials, and announcements.  If on the email list, you will be notified first of sign ups on mini sessions, scheduling, openings, and more!  If you'd like to be included on this list, please email or comment here or on my Facebook page with your email address.
